AFS uses the leading 100% water-blown foam insulation (also available in a soya base material) that minimizes air leakage for increased energy efficiency, creates a healthier indoor environment, reduces airborne sounds and offers greater design freedom. Spray foam insulation maintains its performance with no loss of R-value over time. It does not shrink, sag or settle and is the perfect insulation for walls, attics, ceilings and floors. Applied as a liquid, the foam expands to 100 times its volume in seconds to fill every crack and crevice while remaining flexible so that the integrity of the building envelope seal remains intact over time. The AFS spray formula's have an R-value of 3.6 to 6.5 per inch. It acts as a complete insulation and air barrier to minimize air leakage and seal the building envelope for optimal airtightness.

Minimized Cooling Cost: The AFS spray insulated home is 216 sq. ft. bigger with higher ceilings resulting in additional air volume. In addition, during the daytime, the southern exposure of the AFS home generates an increased radiant heat gain through the many windows, while the fiberglass home's northern exposure and fewer windows saves it from the excessive radiant heat gain.

Comfortable living: The hot and humid climate of Florida with outside temperatures ranging between 75 and 95 degrees means higher cooling requirements. By minimizing the ingress of warm humid air, spray insulation helps reduce the latent load on the air conditioning unit. The high efficiency 16 SEER air conditioning unit along with the humidistat helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment in the AFS home.
